Motomentum: Branding

Motomentum: Branding

When my dad decided to change the name of his motorsports company, I knew I wanted to be a part of it. Once we all settled on a new name, I quickly got to work on designing the logo, alongside my sister & brother-in-law and pitched the idea of putting together a teaser to announce the new branding.

Crafted during the chaos of a pandemic, I was limited to videos from our vendors & stock imagery, which posed a fun challenge. Ultimately, I decided on something that felt gritty, energetic, and hand-crafted, to better represent our audience of riders & adventure-seekers who are constantly taking apart & rebuilding their rides.

Trying to stay away from the digital screen of my computer, I took a bunch of old parts, catalogues & tools from the company warehouse and scanned them into the computer, while also experimenting with animation on the scanner bed. Obviously, this project was close to my heart but I still had an absolute blast with it!

Updating the Brand

I also created some smaller animations to showcase the change in company name & branding, to be used on social and emails.

I wanted the footage from our vendors to feel unique for this video, so I spent a lot of time cutting it up and adding or subtracting elements
